Hotel Das Innsbruck
Innsbruck, Austria
2026

Intro
We created a new hospitality sub-brand for Das Innsbruck hotel, combining Japanese spatial principles with an urban lifestyle, and striking a thoughtful balance between quality, comfort, and budget.
Challenges
1. Sub-brand
The challenge was to create a sub-brand that felt contemporary and elegant, and that would fit seamlessly into the world of Das Innsbruck.
2. Corporate Design
The goal was to create a visual identity that would capture the brand’s minimal aesthetic and accessible premium positioning, as well as the architecture of the sleeping capsules.
3. Spatial branding
A key focus was the design of an intuitive spatial wayfinding system that aligns seamlessly with the interior and the brand identity.
Outcome
We created a fully integrated brand identity concept for Capsule2, combining strategic positioning, visual design and guidance system to provide guests with a coherent experience. Inspired by the interior architecture, we incorporated the geometry of the sleeping capsules into the logo, type system, graphic language and spatial signage. This gives Capsule an independent presence across digital and physical touchpoints while ensuring that it remains naturally embedded within Das Innsbruck.

A different kind of hospitality: A former banana warehouse transformed into a capsule hotel, combining minimalist design with an intelligent use of space to offer an affordable accommodation option without compromising on quality.
