Milano Guide
Intro
People often asked us to share our favourite places in Milan. Inspired by this, we created the Milano City Guide, which brings together personal recommendations, international perspectives, and carefully selected locations to create an inspiring guide to design, food, and city life.
Challenges
1. Editorial Concept
The concept was designed to translate personal recommendations and trusted addresses into a guide that provides (business) travellers and (short-stay) visitors curated access to Milan’s design, dining, and urban culture.
2. Content Curation
The selection brings together hotels, restaurants, exhibitions, concept stores, and hidden gems that reflect the city’s creative energy and design culture.
3. Editorial Design
The ambition was that the design needed to offer both guidance and inspiration, while giving the guide the quality and character of a collectible within an evolving global series.
Outcome
The Design Network Milano City Guide marked the launch of a new series of international city guides. Drawing on personal insights, carefully curated recommendations, and our global design perspective, we developed a focused editorial format and gave it a distinctive visual identity. Available in both digital and print, the guide offers a fresh view of Milan and encourages spontaneous exploration. Further editions are planned for Copenhagen, Vienna, New York, London, and Stockholm.

Milan beyond the obvious: Personal recommendations, curated places and international perspectives come together in a guide that invites readers to rediscover design, food and urban life. A companion for those who want not only to visit a city, but to truly experience it.
